My Toozer loves to do dock diving! She has done exactly what that golden did...leave the dock and go into to the pool via the exit ramp! LOL

Personally, I don't like that set up...some of those big jumping dogs get too close to the steps imo.

That Golden is too funny.

I'm trying to find a place to do dock diving with my 2 pups. Looks like a lot of fun.

Yeah, it looks like some of those dogs need a longer pool! When we tried dock jumping they had the exit ramp at the front edge of the pool, next to the dock. I'm not sure if that's how it's usually done, but it worked well because the owner could run down the stairs and get to the ramp to get to their dog quickly rather than having to go all the way around to the far end of the pool.

On time Tom had Keefer on the dock and was trying to get him to jump. I was at the far end of the pool with Dena trying to coax him to jump in and swim to me. He had other ideas! He ran back along the dock, down the stairs, and around the pool to get to me. Oops! This was at a Kid Fair event at the fairgrounds, so we were right next to a bunch of pre-teen girls doing a gymnastics demo, and there were families with toddlers and babies EVERYWHERE! When he bolted from Tom I had no idea what he was going to do and was a little nervous when I couldn't see him for a few seconds, but he had just found a more direct route to mom () and decided not to mess around with the pool.

Both venues that Tooz has jumped in (Ultimate Air Dogs and Dock Dogs) have that set up. I think it works out better too. My dog wants to swim back to me with her bumper so it's quicker to have me (the slow handler) not going very far!
