My question is, would my dog attack if i was in trouble?

Probably NOT in the way you are thinking. If your thinking about the way police or military dogs are trained to take down a suspect, I bet not. Especially at 8 month.

You probably don't have enough home owners insurance to protect yourself if your dog did attack or bite someone in your home or on your property.

A barking dog is much better.
