Hi, I joined for support and advice from people knowledgeable of this breed. I own a 10month old male. I have done extensive training for both me and my dog to learn as much as possible, but I have a question I need help with tonight!! I am leaving tomorrow to drive 3 states away to pick up another shepherd. This one is 5 &1/2 yrs old, female, spayed. Will uprooting an older shepherd break her spirit? Moving her so far away, taking her from her home, etc, at such an older age? Should I be worried about anything she may do in "defiance" I know she is a good dog. But I am a getting worried, naturally.
