Hope you can help. I have 2 gsd, 6yrs old. They are great dogs, just like my kids. To make a very long story short, how can I get them to stop charging at the fence. Until the last few weeks, the property behind us has be vacant for the 6 yrs I have had them and they charged at squirrels, birds etc. but now that a new family has moved in with young children I am worried about the charging. No matter what I try I now cannot break them of this behaviour. They are friendly dogs once people are inside the yard, but at the fence and gate they jump, bark and charge aggessively.
