I wouldent start in AKC and then go to schutzhund, I did that and it is two totally different training methods. If you are interested in schutzhund do schutzhund if you are interested in AKC do AKC. Both of my dogs are titled in both AKC Obedience and Rally my male has his BH in Schutzhund. They will both achieve Sch3 but it is going to take a little longer because of the habits learned at AKC.
Hello. I read a post that you live and train your dog in Louisiana. I live in Baton Rouge and simply cannot find the type/quality training I am hoping to get for my new dog. He is a little young now (10 weeks) but I want to start getting my "ducks in a row" so he can start training as soon as he is old enough. can yoou give me some contact information for the club you train with in Destrehan. I want to start with quality obedience training and then to Schutzhund.Any help you can provide will be appreciated.
