Wanted to stop by and thank you for your help, we've grown real close to our puppy Thor, and appreciate your advice n help. We are not gonna neuter him, so any advice of what I have coming this next year would be greatly appreciated.

Hey thanks for tip, im a new member to this forum. I want all the tips and advise i can get. Im real excited and a bit nervous but cant wait for the puppy.

I drove out there and got "Horseshoe" (the injured puppies new name) His parents were on site and they are beautiful. It was such a dirty hot place...he is now nice and clean and under A/C. I hope the little fellow makes it..we have horses and our GS NEVER did learn to keep out from under their feet when we were riding. Hopefully he will remember and keep his distance....if he makes it.

I am taking him to the vet Monday....our little Jack Russel mix is really glad to have someone to play with.


I would love to see some picture of Stosh. My husband is the type who wants "a dog he can be proud of" and I am afraid Horseshoe may not make the "grade"...so I am still in the market for a nice female.

I sent some video of her behavior to a trainer recommended in Kentucky. He said she is an edgey high drive dog and he thinks I have reinforced some of her bad behavior by the way I handled it. He thinks she is trainable and asked what my goals are with her. We are going to chat hopefully tomorrow.

Maybe you can get past this with some help from the guy in KY-- you'll just have to take a step back and go with what you think is best for her, your other dogs and YOU! Don't forget about you. It will be great if we could all meet each other- I bet we're nothing like we imagine!!

If I go that route though that's a lot more $, shipping, etc with no guarantee. i would hate to spend a bunch of money and it still not work. She bites...nips at people and if she's doing that at this age no telling what she will do as an adult.
If I wasn't going to foster/adopt I would just manage it. Hopefully I'll make a decision in the next few weeks.

Trying to figure out what to do is awful! Everytime I think I'm leaning one way I shift back. A friend on here in Indy recommeded a trainer in Kentucky Animal Resorts and Training Center,personal protection dogs for sale, boarding grooming daycare dog training,Luxury Suites, In-Home Boarding training Frankfort Louisville Lexington Simpsonville Shelbyville Lawrenceburg Georgetown Versailles, Pet Sitt. I spoke with him yesterday and he wants me to take some video so he can try and evualate her.

Did you see my thread on the Dallas Seiger show? I was talking to Gilda's breeder this morning (looking for a qualified trainer that can give me an honest evualution on sigourney's temprament), anyway she told me Dallas was hosting a show. I'm so pumped! You'll have to come!
