Hi, I read one of your posts about giving your pet raw, and it totally hit home with me. Right now, I have had my 8 year old dog on raw for about 8 months or so. Digesting and coat seem fine, but his energy is so so at times.. and I have been considering switching back to kibble for a little bit... My question to you is, what did you discover that you were doing wrong before? Right now my dog gets (per day) 1 pound of raw (70 percent meat, 30 percent bone) which is already in 5 lb. tubes we get from a provider. On top of that, i add to each meal, a dog multi-vitamin, chondrotin tablets, salmon oil, and probitotics... I just feel like he is missing something... any advice? Thanks!

Hi...I'm the newbie in NC you welcomed on the forum (and many thanks). I am in Pittsboro, which is about an hour and a half from Fayetteville. May I ask if you found another Schutzhund Club? I'm not totally sure Schutzhund is a venue that we will be seeking but I wanted an opportunity for my husband and myself to at least go see a trial and haven't found any (updated) websites with events. Also, do you by any chance know of any areas to hike off leash? Some years ago we went to Raven Rock I believe it was called (I remember it was between Sanford and Fayetteville) but if my memory serves me correctly, it was leash required.
    Thanks!

Hello. I am Veronica, a foster/volunteer with GSRA. I had sent you a PM a couple of weeks ago, but now I do not see it in my message box.

Anyway, if you are interested in fostering, we would love to talk to you. If you could fill out a foster app, (www.gsdrescue.org) that would be great. GSRA, based in Raleigh, is a really great group of volunteers. All we ask of fosters is to provide a loving temporary home for a dog in need. We cover the vetting, and can provide food as well. Please let me know that you get this message, as I think my account may be a bit squirrelly You can also reach me at bluencjeep@yahoo.com, or (910) 262-7856. If I don't answer, please leave a message. Thanks in advance!!

    Veronica
