Ace came from Argilitte Kentucky. His father was a bi-color and his mother was a black and tan saddleback. This is my first shepherd, but we have had rotties, dobes, and huskies in the past. I don't know if its because im getting older or what but he seems to be a little on the stubbern side. The vet said that he is a very good natured pup and we hope he stays that way. We try to socialize him as much as we can. We got him to play with our 17mo old yellow lab and that is what they do constantly. Our lab was not socialized and she is scared of other dogs and we hope he does not pick that up from her. He is a very pretty boy with the biggest feet, they are twice as big as our labs feet. He is from the old straight back stock and big boned. I will try the photo thing, but it sounds foreign to me.
Oh, if you want to get Ace started in some obedience, I have a great trainer. I can give you her number. Although, I don't know if she'll be starting another class until March unless she finds a building so we can have classes inside this winter. She does classes in a group setting. It's wonderful for socializing the dogs with new people and new dogs. She also offers Canine Good Citizen training and testing which is included in the class.
Is this your first German Shepherd? We've had them for 27 years. LOL!
Who did you buy him from? Was it from the people up around Ona? I remember seeing they had some bi-colored puppies for sale.
If you already have pictures on your computer, you can go to photobucket.com and upload them. Then you can select upload photos. After you've uploaded the pictures, click on the share button above the pic and then click on link code. It's the third tab over on the top. Then come down to IMAGE for bulletin boards & Forums. Copy(hold left mouse key and slide across what's in the box) It should turn blue. Then right click and select copy. Then you can post the new picture on the forum by starting a new message. Just right click on the mouse and then hit paste. That should bring your picture up. I know it sounds confusing but it's pretty easy after you get the hang of it.
I saw both parents, but I did not notice any problems with their eyes. I go to the Chesapeake Vet Clinic. As for the pictures, I am new with computers and do not know how to add pictures. Ace is a bi-color, he is completely black except for some tan on the lower part of his front legs and the back side of his lower rear legs.
