    Live in Encino, CA.

@BarbielovesSAILOR, long story short, my ex and I divorced a few years back and he kept Viggo because he had more time and space to care for him. My ex now needs to move into an apartment and his work hours are demanding. It's difficult for him to find an apartment that accepts large breeds let alone German Shepherds (ridiculous). The few options he's found are out of his budget. This has been a really tough decision and I want to help him with options. Many of the rescues I've looked into do not take owner surrenders. A forum member shared a few different ones so I'll check those. Optimally we'd love to find him a new home ourselves but that serves as a challenge as well. He's a super dog. Charming, warm and a big teddy bear.

What city do you live in? There is a GSD rescue in Houston that will find a good home for her and they board at peoples houses. This is where I got my wonderful GSD.

Saddened to say that I need to help my ex find a home for our German Shepherd. Incredible dog and a very, very difficult decision but it's in the best interest for our dog. Hoping to find help on this forum.
