Is she on the PDB? Send me a link and I will look at her pedigree to see if there are any red flags

A friend is doing is - she has RA and lost her husband and was raising 3 pre teens at the time of his death....the benefits stopped when the kids turned 18..........she lost money on several litters because her female needed to be C sectioned....then a large percentage of pups had HD or ED.....she finally got a healthy litter of 10 - cash flow from that one is tiding her over now - but looking at the big picture she is probably still in the red after 11 litters.....the expensive imported female, now spayed and retired, was not a good investment but she loves her to dea -- th.

Some litters make a nice individual profit - but then there is the one that cost me $7K for 2 pups, and it was a litter for me to keep a female.....

I won't condemn you for giving it a try - but be aware you could end up in worse shape financially

    Good luck

If I remember correctly, you live in CDA? I just wanted to let you know CDAdogfancier.com (AKC for CDA) is offering a 4 week puppy obedience class starting nov 1st. Registration is today at 10am. It's only $30 and on Sat mornings at 9am. They are also offering a few other classes. ~Lindy (Ruby'sMom)

Genetics Pup Looking exactly like her mother - is that inside too?

I don't know anything about genetics. Just wondering. My pup is 4.5 months old now. She is getting all the color and body shape of her mother.

When a sire and dam produce a litter that all resemble the dam externally - what does that say? Will the pups most likely inherit similar temperament, size or anything else of the dominant (external just by looks) parent? When you have one parent that dominates as to color and conformation, does that sometimes also include health and temperament as dominant too?

Just a real basic question, don't need in depth genetic trait detail, a little would be great - I don't think so, but when they look like carbon copies of their mom, you have to wonder...
