We usually have about 15 - 18 dogs/handlers. He has 3 assistants as well. It's $35 a class. If you go fairly regularly, you get an invite to his annual BBQ & a discount on a class. It's a great group of people. Can't wait until you get your passport and come check it out!
In the meantime check out his Facebook page, protection K9. His wife Laurie takes photos of every class. How far of a drive will that be for you? Also, a friend of mine went to Canada not too long ago and just used her birth certificate and drivers license. She came through by Bonners Ferry route.
That would be fun if you came to his class. It starts at 10 am, and he sometimes will go longer than an hour. It's drop in, but you should call him. See if you think the class would be a good fit. He also has a couple agility jumps and tunnel set up, so once we are done, they can play around a bit before his advance class starts. Hi, I do get on the forum but just read what interests me. I've tried to contact tri-state awhile back, and they never responded. I have also heard negative things about the Spokane schutzhund club ran by a guy named Nick. I've heard he is arrogant and a bit rough abusive.... To dogs and family members. I've been working Ruby with Protection K9 club in Spokane. They meet at the High Bridge Park on Saturdays. He does obedience, CGC training, protection work, and tracking. Awesome guy and family. His name is Cole Upegui. He is also a breeder. Nigel on the forum also knows him and his club. He also might have more info on IPO club. He actually recommended Tr-state to me. Good luck and let me know what you find out. Lindy (Ruby's Mom)
