Did you run ads on craigslist? local newspaper? Call the local shelter? Anything to try to find the original owners?

Seems a little soon to be trying to find them a new home. Someone is probably really missing them!

try posting notices at your local convenience stores, feed stores, veterinarians, and pet stores.
once 2 pointers came up into our yard, i posted notices everywhere, the onwer lived 25 miles away and had been searching near and far for them. she stopped to get gas, looked at the notice and broke into tears knowing her dogs were safe. we met up the next day, she offered me a huge reward, i accepted only for a 20$ to cover the feed bill. happy ending to what could have been a very sad story. |

Thank you for all of your responses. I was not the one who found the pups so was not in control of how long or how their owners were found. I placed the "LOST" ad on this forumn in hopes of finding their owners but apparently did not and so the woman who did find the pups, found them good homes. Thank you again for all of your suggestions.
