Default URGENT - Pregnant dog lost in Herndon VA

All,

PLEASE CROSS POST AND ALERT AREA RESCUES AND THOSE WHO MAY ASSIST IN FINDING (CAPTURING) THIS DOG.

I just received a call from Michelle Rovella (email above) Phone: 519-940-5049 Please contact Michelle to help set up a search party/plan and for additional details.

Her recently acquired GSD slipped her collar Thursday night in the parking lot of the Dulles Hyatt Hotel in Herndon. 2300 Dulles Corner Boulevard, Herndon, VA 20171 (hotel ((703) 713-1234).
She is a black and red GSD, 6 months pregnant. Fairfax Animal Control placed a baited trap for 2 days but have removed it and do not seem to be offering any assistance at this time.

Her name is CAJA (pronounced ki-ah) but may not answer to it.

She has been sighted several times near the hotel but runs away when approached.

Michelle is from Canada and has delayed her departure until she is reunited with Caja.

A photo of Caja can be seen at http://www.carissimakennels.com/females.html (upper left photo in the gallery)

The photo of is attached Caja (V (BAZS 2010) Caja von Brabandt.

Wow I hope they find her...those must be horrendously large puppies she's carrying!!

Err...they must mean weeks.
Poor girl. She must be frightened out of her mind!

Yep - they must really huge by now! I just noticed the 6 months (weeks) mistake myself.

Debbie (bratmarine on here) is going out there now to help search and lend them our humane trap. The last thing we need is a pregnant stray GSD lost near Dulles Airport.

She may abort from the stress. Poor girl. I hope they find her.

GOOD news- Caja has been reunited with her owners. Dr. Carskaddan (my vet that I adore) checked her out and she is fine. What a relief!

Thanks to all who cross-posted her.
