They could be littermates. They are young or have crazy big ears.

They look to be about a year old if that......I think they are littermates as they look so much alike....one is female and the other is male....kind of on the skinny side. They are very friendly and seem to be well trained. They come when I call them and sit for cookies......they are so pretty and sweet! I love them. They just showed up here on Tuesday and I did call animal control but so far they have not shown up. I walked the area asking people if they knew of anyone who they might belong to....no luck. Sad but I guess their best chance at being reunited with their family is having to go to the shelter that is if they have a family? I really think they do and they must be looking for them. If I could keep them I would in a hot second. I am caring for a husband with cancer and have several pets of my own.....my plate is full

Any suggestions would be much appreciated....

Thanks

Is there an on-line form you can fill out with the shelter with their info? Is it a reputable shelter?

Have you taken them to the vet to see if they're chipped? That's another good place to list them: at local vets' offices.

Also, check your local CL to see if anyone has posted them as missing. But check very carefully to be sure they're on the up and up because CL is full of scammers!

There are also a lot of on-line sites where you can list lost dogs and found dogs.

And you could also check with your local gsd rescue just in case they've gotten notice of lost dogs in your area.

Thank you Katieliz @ BowWowMeow I did check with our local shelter to see if there was a way to list lost and found dogs.....they only list the ones in their care. I also did post on several sites hoping someone is looking for them and will find my post. Also on facebook hoping some of my rescue doggie friends can repost. I just got my husband out of the hospital and I cannot leave him to take these dogs to a vet. Two weeks ago I had to call 911 because he went into respiratory failure.....so I do have my hands full. If I leave it's to take him to the doctor or to run and get some groceries while my son is home....it's not easy. What is CL Craigs List?? I have never been there or used it just guessing here??

I also tried finding a gsd rescue online for my area and called one (wrong number) the ones that I saw said they only take dogs from the shelters.

Thank you so much for the suggestions! I will do what I can. I am such an animal lover and I worry about what will happen to them. That is how I ended up with my last 2 cats and dog! I raised 8 Siberian Huskies and 3 German Shepherds so I do love dogs. Have 5 cats and 2 dogs now.

Anybody here from Southern CA that can help sleepy717? Anybody know of rescues in Southern California? Somebody who could pick the dogs up and take them to the vet for scanning would be great. Can anyone help search CL or other sites to see if anyone is looking for these dogs. Somebody must be.

I am searching the craigslist in her area (inland empire) and other surrouding areas. So far I have not found anything, I am afraid to post their picture because I feel like someone would respond (not the real owner) just to get a free dog. Have to be careful sometimes..

Pwillow, do this, run the ad, but state: "Two SHEPHERD type dogs found in such-and-such area, must describe accurately age, sex, and other identifying characteristics".
And your phone number or email or whatever.
If the owner's searching, they'll know the details you seek.
