Default So Cal-LOST female

Our female GSD, Kona, got out of our yard on Labor Day - we have been to local shelters since and posted signs to no avail. We live in Claremont, CA about 40 miles east of Los Angeles.

Described as 3.5 yr old small/medium bi-color female; toy crazy but friendly, but not overly needy. She's never been out unsupervised...

Go to local vets, police stations, local businesses, animal control, pet stores (petco/petsmart). Post signs in all of these places and speak to people there.

If someone has her, they might go to petco/petsmart to get her some food or toys, they might see your signs.

I know that you must be worried sick, lots of different things running through your mind. Think of it that another dog lover has found her and that as soon as they see your fliers or hear that you are looking for her they will contact you.

Post everywhere and anywhere, don't just call shelter's go and check yourself. Also post on the lost and found in your newspaper, craigslist, as someone else said stores and pet shops.

Good luck and I so much hope that you find your girl, please keep us informed.

Make sure you put an ad on craigslist! Craigslist is wonderful!

That find Toto thing also seems to be successful.

Just be prepared to be answering a LOT of phone calls. We used this for our missing GSD in Delaware and we received hundreds of phone calls but very few leads. Some people were even so rude as to lecture us.
