Default Lost male GSD. Lost since 07/2010

Bear has been missing about 9 months now. He went missing from Northwest ohio July 2010. He's a very large male (90 lbs) but was very skinny and had a back leg hobble due to a previous life. He also has a broken ear and a very long tongue. He's the nicest, goofiest dog and I miss him so much. Please help me. His picture is my profile picture.

Welcome, ccoey.
I assume you've contacted shelters, rescues, vets and anyone else in the neighboring cities/states in case he was captured?
There is a LEO K9 that has been missing for several months in my area, and he still hasn't turned up...makes you wonder what happened to them when they go missing. I hope Bear turns up eventually/Bane, too!

Yea we did all of that. We basically had an amber alert out for him. We called the surrounding 3 humane societies, put it on the radio, put flyers in every mailbox in a 3 mile perimeter, put flyers up at local businesses, and posted it on facebook...nothing. We live in a small rural community so if he was wondering around here someone would have seen him. Three other GSD have also been reported missing in my small county since.

How sad that this happens. I pity the fool who even thinks about coming into my yard and nabbing my dogs. Oskar would make short work of such a numskull!

Handle every stressful situation like a dog. If you can't eat it or play with it, pee on it and walk away.

Thanks..we're pretty sure someone took him. At first I was lying to myself saying that someone took him in to give him a loving home. Now reality is setting in and I have to find my dog. The Monroe dog ring bust put a sick feeling in my stomach being that it was only about 45 mins away from our home. He's out there somewhere and I'm going to find him.
