LOST: Indiana sable female 3 yrs has tattoo

Our pure bred GSD german shepherd has been missing since mid June. We love her very much and just want her home, no questions asked. She is spayed and approx. 2 yrs. old. She was last seen in Freedom, IN. She had on a brown leather rounded collar. She does have ear problems and needs medicine, she may whine if she scratches it. She is sable and has a tattoo in her ear. Tattoo : edited by Admin If you have seen a gsd around or have any information please let me know. We miss her so much! My 3 year old doesn't understand where his doggy is!!!!
We miss her so much and are not giving up hope.

I wouldn't put your dogs ID# (tatoo) on the internet.. anyone can tell the people who have her what it is and then claim her. Keep that as a way to ID her.

I am sorry your girl is missing, I can't imagine what you are going through.

Have you contacted local police, rescues, shelters, etc.?

I thought the same thing about the Tattoo but when I called all of the local shelters and vets offices they all wanted her tattoo number to post so they could identify her, and they told me to put the number on my flyers. But even if someone tried to claim her they don't have her papers. I'm the only one that can really prove she is mine as I have her papers.
Should I call the police station? I didn't think of calling there.
I miss her so much. It is so hard to see my 3 year old crying all of he time because he misses his dog. He still goes out on the porch and yells for her everyday even though it has been 3 months.
I'm worried that so much time has passed that I will never find her. Part of me feels like finding another GSD that looks like her that needs adopted and bring her home and tell my son it's her. I know that's awful but imaging the look on his face when I tell him we have found her...I just want him to be happy again, I'm sure he will forget with time, but I won't.

I would contact all the training and ScH clubs~ give them a heads up if anyone new is coming in with a "new" dog.

Not sure if it matters but she was born Emmi Von der Hundshardt and was actually shipped here from Germany. Here is the link to the breeder she came from, her parents and littermates.

Through a long chain of events I ended up adopting her, and we have had her for 2 wonderful years. She has grown up with my first son and was there for the birth of my second son. She is a member of our family and anything anyone can think of or do would be greatly appreciated! To describe how I feel waking up without her every morning is impossible.

I wish you luck finding your girl, and yes there is hope as I had just had a clients dog get loose in Colorado and she was found and back home after a month being lost. Good luck with your search
