Public's help needed to find stolen German Shepherd | KTKA.com

The Shawnee County Sheriff's Office needs your help finding a stolen 2 year old registered German Shepherd named "Inzo."

Topeka police are looking for a stolen 2 year-old registered German Shepherd dog named "Inzo."
The dog is valued at $1,500 dollars, and was taken from 7027 SW Auburn Road during the overnight hours on Friday, August 13th and Saturday, August 14th.
The dog is black with gold on its face and legs, and was wearing a collar with the name "Inzo" and the owner's name and address on it.
The dog also has a microchip in its back and a tattoo of VHK104 on its right ear.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 234-0007.
Tipsters could be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000.

Inzo has been returned, charges will be filed against the dognapper...

So glad Inzo is home, but do we need to be extra vigilant regarding stolen dogs here in the Topeka area or do you think this is isolated?

what a beautiful dog. glad he's safe! Was there any information on how they busted the guy/found him?

I think they knew who took him, put pressure on the persons and busted them.
I got the info from the breeder of the dog (FB friend) cross-posted it for her.

Still good idea to be vigilant. Early this Summer, there were people going around stealing dogs(e-fence neighborhoods and rural where dogs tend to wander) to resell to bunchers or research facilities. They were from out of state and just traveled together in a few vehicles doing this. They hit several midwest states.
