Montgomery, AL, Blk/crm F GSD LOST 3/30/09

One of my adopted rescues got out today on Narrow Lane Road in Montgomery, AL. She was picked up and taken to the closest vet. They scanned her for a chip but they only have an Avid scanner and she is supposed to be chipped with a Home Again chip. I say supposed to be because I implanted the chip myself and as far as I know it went in, we didn't see it drop on the floor and I felt all around on her neck and in her fur, but I didn't have a scanner with me when I implanted it. I'm pretty sure it went in, but they obviously didn't bother to take her and get her scanned like I asked them to. They decided to use my vet and she's been in twice but they don't generally scan dogs unless asked to or if it is a lost pet. I think I'm going to try and implement a new policy. Anyway, her name is Lucky Lady and she is 1 1/2- 2 years old and she is black and cream. She was spayed at the spay/neuter clinic so she has a green tattoo on her belly. The people that took her to the vet didn't want to pay to board her overnight so they took her with them, supposedly to another vet on Atlanta Highway. but the owners said they called everyone. If anyone hears of a young adult female being picked up in Montgomery, AL please call me ASAP, 334 424-9282. Lady is a very sweet dog and gets along with everything. She may come off as dominant with another dog at first but she is not dog aggressive.

She was wearing a purple and pink or purple and red collar with no tags (GRRRRRRRRRR).

Lady is back home safe and sound. Someone found her tied in their yard and got the owner's name and number and called them.

That's fantastic news! It's so nice to have a happy ending like this. I just wish there were more of them.
