Please help find our missing child.
He has been missing since February 15th, 2009.
He was last seen off of Cortez Road in Lake Ariel, Wayne County.
He was last wearing his red collar.
He is microchipped.
We are offering a $500 reward for his return home.
Please forward this to EVERYONE in your address book.
Even if you don't think you would ever see him in a million years.
We had a lady call us and say he couldn't believe she needed our number. She said that she never thought she would have seen this dog that was missing. But she did.
Thank you for your help,
Jenna and Sean
I would be happy to go take a picture for you!! I haven't seen him personally yet...he just came in...was picked up by the police and he is still on stray hold. All I know is that he is a young sable...and has an eye injury and injury to the ear.
Also...please pm me...and I will put you in touch with my friend who works at the shelter...you can talk to her about him!
I will call them tomorrow. Denver had no injury to the eyes or ears, is it new injury? Also all of Denvers teeth are worn down, but to his illnesses and always carrying things around. And he is not young. Thank you.
I called my friend...the ear injury is healed...and the eye...is a very strange injury/maybe birth defect? Looks like the eyelid was pulled up...but it is there..not missing. Very strange.
Hi everyone its been a while since I came on and checked everything out here. I was in the dumps for awhile without any calls or sightings or direction. I have been emailing new flyers. I'm coming up on Vinnie's 1 yr missing anniversary this Valentine's Day. Got two leads today!! We are checking them out and I'm interested to find out soemthing about the Lacawanna CHS GSD. I'm going to call them now. THanks everyone
Thanks!! I think about you and CC all the time!! This is the first bit of information we have had in about 6 months. I'm not sure what to think or how to feel about it though. It looks so much like him but so different as well.
update on Lackawanna Humane.... the GSD, in bad shape, did not scan... We tossed around the idea of it being Vinnie but do not believe it to be.. There were subtle markings that struck us off and the face, dispite injuries, was not as similiar to Vinnie's.
They did finally call us back.
and so the search continues... i just read something disturbing on craigslist... a woman's cat went missing and she was calling asking for the shelters to tell her if he turns up... her husband decided to head over to clarks summit and just look around... the cat was there, despite the wife's call the day before! Now all I can think is that Vinnie might have been found, and adopted out, or worse, put down and no one even contacted us. I'll keep looking for him till he is found, whether he is able to be found or not.

Just got an email that Griffin Pond has trapped a GSD that was a long time stray. Don't have any more info yet about where but it is a male...... you might want to call and talk to Kate....or email her at gshep854@epix.net...or better yet...go there.
Sean and I are heading over there tomorrow morning... might be the same one you are talking about... this guy called Sean from Scranton and said they saw my flyer online... said he was feeding this GSD for about 6 months in his back yard and finally trapped him... took him to Griffin 2 days ago... we're gonna check it out... i'm not waiting a week and a hlaf for them to all me back
Hi Jenna
I don't know if you're going today....but it's not Vinnie. I just got a picture and it's a light colored Black & Tan...unneutered...definitely not him. So Sorry.
GSR-SP will try to get an evaluation of him.
Thanks for the pic Corette... I think we might still walk the place, just bc we never have and that craigslist lady with the cat really upset us... you're right, def not Vinnie!
Just to put closure in case, have you taken his picture to any of the rescues or animal control people/places to see if they remember getting a dog like him?I know they get a lot of dogs going through, but maybe if he has come through someone might recognize him and be able to tell you if he is in a home or had to be PTS.
I know this is a long-shot, but have you seen the male that is at the Perkiomenville SPCA? Sorry, I don't know how to link the thread, but it's in the Urgent section of the Rescue forum.
Yes I have been incontact with shelters. I just sent out a flyer to them last week. As we expected there was no luck at Griffin Pond. I was a little struck by the front desk girl. When we told her we had lost our dog and wanted to just spin through, she asked how long ago? We responded "about a year" and her response full of sarcasism and snide was "Well I doubt he'll be here, but you can look". Thanks alot, did I ask your opinion on the matter! Some people. I was happy to see that the people working directly with the cats and dogs were warm, friendly, and gentle.
