Please help find our missing child.
He has been missing since February 15th, 2009.
He was last seen off of Cortez Road in Lake Ariel, Wayne County.
He was last wearing his red collar.
He is microchipped.
We are offering a $500 reward for his return home.
Please forward this to EVERYONE in your address book.
Even if you don't think you would ever see him in a million years.
We had a lady call us and say he couldn't believe she needed our number. She said that she never thought she would have seen this dog that was missing. But she did.
Thank you for your help,
Jenna and Sean
SIGHTING!!! Tonight, 6 pm in Stone Field Estates.
REALLY pushing Sean to just set the trap! Dog Warden was going to pick up this week from us and use for another dog but never came or contacted Sean so I say just set it for the night and see if we can come up with anything. Stone Field Estates hasn't given permission for the trap to be set but we could set in on the small parcile this guy lives on.
Trying not to get too excited. Keep you posted!
Our rescue used Laura Totis and her tracking dogs to search for a dog that got away and others did too. She is a great lady and has a lot of experience. I can recommend her strongly. She does travel to search for lost pets. You can google her name and talk to her.
IN FRUSTRATION!
We haven't gotten a phone call back from the guy who spotted him. So we don't have permission to put anything out there. And then the rain came so it's quiet again.
I'm seriously thinking about just going over there and setting it up in the woods where people can't see if from their house.
Enough already!
We got a call from the other side of Cortez Road, about 2 miles from our house. Caller said there is a couple building or remodeling a home. The come up on the weekends and bring this GSD that was chained up at the house they are doing. Caller swears it looks just like Vinnie. Caller did not have a color copy of our flyer and described him. Said it's definitely a male. Also described a love for running around and car rides (which also describes many dogs).
The strangest part... The coupld was calling the dog "Pepper" or "Shadow" and the dog was not responding. Now caller said she hears them calling him "Vinnie". My thoughts are that "Vinnie" could be heard but they are using a different name. Maybe caller WANTS to hear "Vinnie" so that's what it sounds like. I dunno!
Caller is going to call us when the couple returns to the house. We're going to take a drive by and get a visual on the pooch before we continue this. Also told caller to try and get a picture in case we don't get there in time.
This is an update as of LAST NIGHT! We have gone about a month without a call/sighting, and then BAM! That's what we get!! I'm gonna be so happy to have Vinnie back (whenever that happens) but holy christmas am I
at him for taking off in the first place. I never thought we would still be missing him 6 months later.
Let's hope it's a real sighting and not some whack job messing with you.I would be camping out there for a weekend just in case.Have info ready or be ready to call the cops if you believe it is yours.Hopefully if it is him they will be OK with you claiming him and not be jerks. Was he chipped?
I would be so POd at him too but if you get him back it will all go out the door when you get him.Keep us updated and good luck.
We haven't had any sightings since my last update. I don't know what else to do. Found a couple other sites that send lost info to vets and shelter. I don't know if he was picked up at this point. I feel that we would have had some calls if he was still in the area. It's getting really, really sad as it gets colder. I thought for sure we would have found him by now. Anyone have any ideas for what to do next?
