Just joined the forum a couple of days ago. Wife and I rescued a GSD (not sure if pure GSD but has great markings) this past Saturday. He is a male, probably less than a year, and so far, he's been a real sweetheart, and his name is Max. Can't seem to post a pic due to forum restrictions(?) and this is my first post.
Anyway, we have 2 other heeler mix rescues who are sisters and are 5 years old. They are still "getting to know one another".
So, always wanted a GSD, so looking forward to being here and learning more. Thanks, and I will post a pic when able.
Thanks. He was picked up by animal control running loose near a convenience store. They kept him at their facility for
I don't know how long (he had no chip). Then he was sent to "Animal Hope", a rescue group where my wife saw him when they put him online.
They told us he was about a year old, don't know enough about GSD to gauge that. His weight is only about 51 lbs, and you could see all his ribs when we picked him up. He looks a little better after nearly a week, but still needs some weight. As far as purebred or not, guess we'll never know for sure(certainly looks like a GSD), but it doesn't matter to me. So far he's a great dog!
Welcome from East Texas! Looking forward to seeing your dog grow. Nice pack.
