Hi from New Zealand

I have been looking at this site for a long time and thought it was about time to say hi.
I got Bear, a pure black long coat GSD at 7 weeks old, and he has been nothing but awesome. He is full of life and loves his food and exercise. He loves to play with George the pig at the neighbours. He listens to my wife as well when I'm not home which is amazing considering he is only 9 months old.
When there are 6 horses and some cows, that's important!
Bear is a big boy weighing in at a hefty 48.6 kilos as of yesterday. He loves all animals and sitting beside my chair when we let him inside.
He's an amazing dog/mate.
I hope to be part of his forum for a long time.

Hello and welcome!

From Australia, so you're not too far away. Your boy sounds very huge for a 9 month old! He looks very handsome.

Ooo...Squees at the little fuzzy baby. More Squees at his gorgeous adult photo.

Even more squees...these of envy....that you live in New Zealand. It is one of those places I've thought about living in. Last time I went to a Xena Convention I asked Lucy Lawless to sponser my immigration.

My furs are not in storage, nor draped across the bed. They're peering out the kennel door just waiting to be fed.

Thanks for all your cool comments guys.
So I thought a couple more pictures....
I spend hours looking at GS on line. They are just such a cool dog.
The lab (Amy) is his closest mate and surrogate mum. She's looked after him from 7 weeks old, and to this day he has never once cried at night.
They sleep together, play together and spend every minute together.

He is 9 months and 3 days old. 48.6, probably 48.7 kilo's now hahaha.
Raw chicken carcus, lamb, beef and even venison is the reason I reckon!

Awesome combo
