Smile And yet another Okie!

Hi, All!

I've been reading the threads, but just realized that I hadn't bothered to introduce myself. I live in Stillwater, OK and have both adopted and fostered a number of GSDs over the years. My most recent GSD was a rescue that joined the family 12 years ago named Panzer (The Tank--lol). His age was estimated to be between 3-4 years when I got him. He had the sweetest disposition and was my constant shadow. Unfortunately, he went to the rainbow bridge last month at the age of 15-16 years. I miss him so much, and it's still hard for me to talk about him without crying. At first I thought I would never get another dog because it hurts so much when you lose a devoted friend, but the house seems so empty without him, that I've changed my mind about that. Although adopting was a great experience for me and I got a wonderful dog from the rescue, I've decided that I would like to get a puppy this time. However, I want to wait until next year after I retire so I'm home with him 24/7. In the meantime, I'm busy looking for a good breeder in Oklahoma and reading everything I can so I'll be ready to train a new puppy. It was pretty easy with Panzer since he was an older dog, although he acted like a puppy up until a few weeks before he passed. He always made me laugh with this antics and his goofy grin. lol Please feel free to PM me with any advice about breeders in OK. I prefer black and tan or red and black GSDs, but some of the breeders I've looked at online only have black or only sable, so I guess I'll have to ask if they ever have black and tans. Anyway, hello from another Okie and thanks for all the great info I've already read on the forum! Thanks!!

Welcome. What type of activities are you wanting to do with your new puppy? We can give better recommendations of breeders if we know what you are more interested in, show line or working line dogs.

While balancing on a piece of wood, two inches by four inches known as a 2x4, john and his friend sally both spotted a dalmatian inside a truck with sirens, headed to put out a fire. State what the 2x4 is made of.
