Puppy training Bay area

Hi everyone,

I'm a new parent to an 11 week old GSD boy and couldn't be more happy. Looking into puppy training of my little guy in the Northern Bay Area (SF). I've read on the boards recommendations for trainers in Menlo Park etc - that is more than 1hour away....more with traffic :(

Does anyone know anyone in the Marin County, Santa Rosa area. Oakland would work too.

I have loved reading the boards for the last couple of weeks. It has been a great help.

BTW, my little fella has an older Lab brother that is not keen on him....but my GSD is starting to learn the ropes!

If you don't get any responses, try to PM Cassidy's Mom. She lives in the Bay area. I'm about 2 hours away from you.

Ha - I was about to write the same thing! I think she did some classes in the North Bay.

I'm here! :D I've taken Sirius Puppy classes with Dena, Keefer, and Halo. There are 27 locations in the Bay Area: https://www.siriuspup.com/locations

My Sirius classes were in Oakland, Berkeley, and San Ramon (I'm in the East Bay), with trainers Keri Lyall - Keefer Puppy 1, Nicole Gayles - Puppy 1 & 2 with Halo, and Miki Merin - subbed for one night of Halo's classes with Nicole. I think it was Leanne Neufeld for Dena's Puppy 1, and her Puppy 2 trainer left Sirius to start her own business - that was Sandi Thompson whose Bravo Pup has classes in Oakland, Berkeley, and Alameda: BRAVO!PUP

For more advanced classes I've been to ARF, Tony LaRussa's Animal Rescue Foundation in Walnut Creek, (Tony La Russa's Animal Rescue Foundation - Home) and taken numerous classes at the Marin Humane Society in Novato, which is where our flyball club practices each week: Behavior & Training - Marin Humane Society

Both are very nice facilities with a wide variety of classes.

Good to know. Would ARF classes be on par with Sirius? Reason I ask is that ARF is next door to me and trying to decide between the two. Also, would you have any recommendations for tracking instructors in east bay? Thank you for your earlier post. Very helpful.
