I'm used to going to car forums like this, but never thought I would find a site all about the dog breed I'm purchasing.

Sire is Uruk Von Karthago and the Dam is Latifa Von Metunaj. Hope to bring the pup home in April as the Dam got pregnant the beginning of this month. We will see...I have seen good things from Uruk on youtube. This site looks like it has a wealth of information.

I did some googling on the abbreviations on the pedigree chart. I found that pretty interesting. The only thing I don't like is I saw an a2 rating for the dam's father for his hips. I also hope that some sables come out of the litter and they don't end up being all black. I have the second pick from the litter. I previously had my eyes set on a Malinois, but decided against it. I'm glad I found this forum though, I think my wife will find it helpful to when I'm at work.

'a' 2 is fine....there are many many more things to consider in this litter than a set of a 2 hips!

I used to not like the all black GSD's but now they are (with the sables) my favorite color!

People think they are 'rare' and will tell us our dogs are clearly mixed with a black Lab and I just love educating them and explaining that I do know what my dog is and that GSD's come in black!!!
