Introducing Max

Hello, my name is Stanley and I am introducing the most awesome dog in the world( well, him and our beagle are, at least for my family lol) Maximillian, Max for short. He is 4 1/2 months old now. We got him when he was 9 weeks old. He is the smartest dog I have ever seen. He has never had a potty accident inside the house, always indicates when he needs to go and has already mastered basic obedience commands such as heel, sit, down, stay( he automatically stays with the down command), and go to your bed. We are currently working on off leash obedience and he is excelling. My goal is to train him for schutzhund. He's got a pretty high drive, and pretty even, balanced temper. I am looking to learn a lot from this forum and at the same time offer my advise. Here are some pics of him. Have a good one.Attachment 148482Attachment 148490Attachment 148498Attachment 148506

Beautiful dog, welcome to the forum!

Make sure you mix a ton more fun in training so 'obedience' is just a big game. And hopefully you've already found and joined a Sch club cause there are tons of wonderful foundation training skills they can help you with that make training easier and easier the earlier you start up with it!

Thank you, yes I always make training fun and interesting for him and always end it on a positive note. The training facility that I take him to is one of the best ones here in CA, Absolutek9, and they also do SchH training, in fact, the owner was the first to get an American bulldog a SchH3 title. I have the luck that my trainer is also a member and trainer at the SD Sch club so he already evaluated him, and also gave me some pointers and training tips. I am going to look into the club, and check out their training and their schedule and see if it suits me and my work schedule if not I would have to shell out more $$$ to get the training through absolutek9 so I can get the training tailored to my schedule. Thanks for the welcome and the advise.
