Jack W.
We have had Jack for about a month now. He comes from strong bloodlines and was born on 12/9/12. He is already in classes and is pretty good except for hand biting. Here he is yesterday in a car ride after work. He always has the one ear up but the other only after intense chew sessions.

Nearly 4 months old - those ears are big - he'll grow into them. Lovely markings.

Thanks, MB.
He is AKC certified four generations back and comes from a reputable Midwest breeder. His mother was 76 lbs and dad 110 lbs so I assume he might get quite big. However, both my vet and trainer have made comments on how they think he wont be all that big because of his paw size at his age so I dont know who to believe. He is my first pure GSD. |
Well, he will be mostly likely mature at over 75 lbs. being a male so should be bigger than his mother - and that is still a powerful gsd. To me weight and size doesn't matter, but the temperament and health. Congrats on your first purebred gsd! If you haven't already, you may want to register him - I registered my Sting even though it is on the limited for being neutered - it is really fun to get the pedigree and the AKC emailings - this month their Family Dog featured gsds as the breed.
