Default Newbie - kinda

hello, I actually joined about a week ago to ask a question about our almost 10 yr old Shadow, we thought he was sick. We lost him 2/20/13, he was murdered by someone. Stabbed in a way there wasn't any hope, but hard to detect. Angry, heart broken, confused as to how someone could hurt an animal and angry.

We have a tall fenced in area and a police report was taken. A couple days after word in our town got out, someone showed up at our door and gave us a German Shepherd puppy, I fell to the floor crying, still crying actually. We accepted the puppy with open arms and he's latched onto me.

He's a handsome black and tan boy. We are having a difficult time coming up with a name for him. If anyone has suggestions please let us know. Pictures will be coming soon. Thank you again

We lost our Shadow 11/17/2011 but we still have his brother Buddy. To me the names Shadow and Buddy will always be linked. So how about Buddy?

That's sad, I'm sorry you've had this happen. It takes an extra twisted individual to want to hurt an animal like this. On the new pup, what a nice gesture from the "good" in your community. It must be painful, but very gracious of you to accept the offer within such a short time of losing Shadow.

OMG that is so horrific, so sorry for your loss. I can't understand why anyone would hurt an animal people are just so cruel these days. I hope who ever did this will be brought to justice. I know that won't ease your pain but they need to held accountable, I have been seeing to many cases involving animals and I'm getting so sick and tired of it. People need to start paying for the crimes they commit and not get a **** slap on the wrist. It's still a life they are taking and an innocent 1 at that. Again so sorry for you and your family my condolences.

I always liked the names Nitro, Cole, Cassius..

This is such a sweet story but sad at the same time. That was so thoughtful for someone to give you a GSD puppy!<3 I'm sorry for your loss though.

How heartbreaking. I dont understand how someone could kill an innocent dog..... Animal abusers/killers make my stomach turn.

Sorry for your loss. How nice of someone to bring you a puppy! Hope he helps to heal your hearts. A picture of him would help see what kind of name fits him But I do like Diesel, and Axl/Axel/Axle.

What a cruel and inhuman act of barbarism.

Some people are only alive because it's illegal to kill them.

Oh My Gosh. I'm so sorry about your loss. I hope the one responsible has been found. It was so nice that someone gave you a pup. He's so cute too.
How about a name from Greek Mythology?
Thor? Zeus? They're cool names
