I just got my first puppy, and Its gonna be a handful. Shes working line dark sable, a real beauty. On the drive home she was wailing in the transporter. Then once home I cant housetrain for crap. 3 mistakes already which I removed her from the room and cleaned up with some natures mirace advanced. These pups have never eaten kibble, I pulled a chicken leg out to defrost and she wanted it NOW!
The housetraining Im attempting is this House Breaking Your German Shepherd Puppy It also involves crating so its both at once. she went to sleep on her usual schedule in the basement crate- I cant handle the crying. and I rewoke her a little later and played 10 minutes and now shes in the carrier at my feet sleeping. Ill probably be reporting back tomorrow/ |

Shes sleeping at my feet in an open carrier. Im doing some petting and resting my hand on her simulating her litter. I accidentally woke her a few minutes ago pointing the laptop at her to see her. She woke lazily and I put my limp hand in there and she kept licking it and I simulated licking her with my hand. She went back to sleep. I have the week off and in gonna close the carrier up and plan on more wailing waking me up and hopefully get some out side potty reps in. I gotta get her to a vet also, the breeders are anti shots but im gonna do a 3 way at least.

This pup is smart!! Yesterday she had always been in a pen with her litter. I took her home and did this- House Breaking Your German Shepherd Puppy she had 3 accidents since im new and didnt have the timing. Today she may have not had an accident. She learned quick to go to the door and whimper, and as it neared her bedtime she actually rang the bell!!! everytime she told me she had to go she did until it was past her previous bedtime and she wanted out repeated and didnt go. I think I gave her constipation with a few pebbles of from and a tiny bite of a blue smoked chicken treat. I also shorted her a chicken leg, shes been eating 3 a day but I got mine from the mexican market for .58 cents a pound, they are big and probably from eg laying chickens and thats why so cheap so I gotta weigh them. Also should I worry about the bone? Her teeth just came in and its taking a long time and Im removing the 3 inch bone at some point. Is that bad, does she really need to eat all that bone? I heard too much calcium can be bad? Im doing crate training with earplugs, she gets to wailing, but both nights shes gone in on her own when tired and settles.

Hi Valcano. You may want to post your raw feeding questions down in the raw feeding forum. It will get much more attention down there.
