New GSD owner

My name is Melody, and my husband and I are new dog and new GSD owners. We have a almost 6 month old purebred GSD named Cookie. Lets just say, its been an adventure so far, and I have so much to learn! Cookie began very shy and timid, and has definitely become more outgoing over the last 3 months we have had him. I can tell we have entered adolescence now though, and I'm a little scared of the next few months. Any suggestions that more advanced owners can provide will be much appreciated.
