New GSD owner from Baton Rouge, LA!

What's up y'all? My name is Cody and I recently purchased a 9 week old German Shepherd. His name is Diesel. This is my first German Shepherd and I have not had much time to search through the threads to find out the do's and don'ts. Any tips or suggestions out there? I plan to sit down and read as much as I can when I get a break from work and playing with Diesel. Heres a few pics:

Hi Cody. I had a blast in old" Red Stick" many, many years ago. Welcome. Beautiful pup.

Thanks for the welcoming... So I was told earlier he looks like a Dutch Shepherd. Does anyone know the difference? Is it just the color or what?

I'm partial to those dark dawgs

Do you know for a fact he is a purebred gsd? He could be a really dark sable , handsome no matter what, it will be cool to see how he matures
