First I want to say, I have been reading the forums like an addict since I found this site. I thank you for all the information.
I brought my "little boy" home at 3 months of age and he is my fist Shepard. Mojo is now nearly 7 months old. My whole reason for wanting a German Shepard was I wanted a pet that made me feel safe because of issues I've been having with PTSD, an animal that loved all 4 of my kids and highly trainable. We bonded the first week I had him. He has been there through my tears, and my road to happiness. I enjoy training him, laying awake in bed thinking about what I'm going to work on with him next and being able to take him out and about to pet friendly stores and he's the best behaved in the place. I have had the people that are terrified of him. But, I have people that are scared to death of our bearded dragon too and we hand feed her. Oh, I do have to add one more thing. I have never in my life had a puppy that knows just how hard to play with each age rage of my kids. My youngest is 4 and I watch them play tug of war. He never hurt her and knew just how hard to pull. And yes, they are always supervised, LOL! So that's the short version of our story. I have absolutely fallen in love with this breed and have the best friend in the world.
