We bought our first GSD puppy 5 weeks ago. He was 9 weeks then and is 14 weeks now. His name is Loki and he has been doing really well since we got him After the initial worry during the car ride home he has never seemed particularly anxious about his new home. We live in an apartment on the 2nd floor and take him down for a pee every two hours or so, and while he seems to understand that he has to pee outside, he has not learned to tell us when he needs to go, so accidents happen. He also tends to wake up once every night so that we can take him out. He is a very vocal dog and tends to make a lot of noise when we go outside. Judging from some other threads on the forum that seems quite normal
His colour has gotten lighter as he grew up but now it seems his adult coat is coming through and it is black on his back and tail. We are very curious about what he might look like as he grows up. His parents have very different coats; you can see them if you scroll down a little at this link: Puppies
We added some more pictures of him in the gallery in an album called Loki
Thank you for all the useful posts on this forum. They are very helpful and we love watching all the adorable pictures!
Congratulations on a beautiful little boy! His coat may change as he grows. You never know how they will turn out until their grown. Cute puppy pics!

Where in Belgium are you? I lived there from 1980 to 1984 ... we lived in a little town called Obourg.
We are living in Brussels. Not always the perfect place for a puppy; there is so much garbage to pick up in the streets; but it is the greenest capital of Europe, so there are plenty of parks, at least
