Ohh how cute is she! And Welcome to the fourm, you will learn so much stuff here! I to am on my very first German Shepherd and they are so not like any other breed, as you will soon find out! And all's i did was watch her closely and take her out to a spot where you want her to go. But be sure you don't take her out in the middle of the yard, if you don't want her to go there when she get's older. Cause where you take them to go potty, that's where they will go. I had to learn that the hard way, and had to re direct Dixie when she was a little older and belive me, it's kinda a pain to do that lol. But that's all i know lol

Thank You! I have another dog but he was potty trained when I got him 10 years ago! LOL...It's been so long since I had a "puppy". I know the G/S are very intelligent so not too worried, but just want to get her on the right path to do it outside and not "in"

bring her out very often like every 30 minutes if you can. make sure you bring treats with you outside. when she goes potty praise her and give her a treat.
she is super cute!

Hello and Welcome, and your little girl Jazz is a cutie. For her age I would at least take her out every 20 to 30 min, immediately after awakening from a nap and immediately after eating. When you have her outside and she does potty for you praise her, act like you just won the lottery, and tell her what a good girl she is. She will catch on quickly, good luck with your baby girl.

Aw thank you! Yes she is a cutie. Thanks for the advice. I have been taking her out about every 30 min or so, and she is doing fantastic! I praise her a lot when she goes so she definately knows she's doing something good
What about over nite? I have her in the kitchen with a crate in there for her to sleep in, but I am not closing it. Is that something I should do? Close the crate overnite?
