Oh I can't wait till we have one of our own. If all goes according to plan, I may have a collection of my own in a decade or so. LOL!

The family jokes that I'll need a farm for all the furry things.

So how did you get your GSD's? Know of any good breeders or clubs around here?

No breeders that I know of around here. I had 2 of mine shipped. Closest clubs are one in Mobile, which is not technically a real club, just some folks that get together on Saturdays and there's one in New Orleans.

The distance makes it difficult...

Yeah I've done a lot of local searching without much luck. Just gonna take a bit more travel and effort I guess. Anyway. It was fantastic to "meet" you!

Florida and Texas is about as close as I have seen for breeders I would consider. You can find some good out of state breeder recommendations on the forum though.

I know I saw a few recommendations in TN. Since that's not too much different in mileage, I guess that'd be an option too. I'll definitely do a little more searching in FL & TX though. ;-)

Yes, TN is another good place to look within driving distance. Take your time and figure out what lines you're most interested in and then look for a breeder. A lot of good info here!

That's the thing. We're not even sure of what lines. Reading up on them, I've gotten pretty confused. My thought was that talking to a few breeders may help lead us in the right direction.
