Well.......the breeder has been calling him Buddy. She has had Buddy & his sister in the house with the family. She decided to let him go to us, so I guess we'll keep the name. Really wanted a "gus", but don't want to confuse him

You can still change it if you like. I've seen forum members adopt and change the name.

Default name change

I guess we're going with Benjamin......he has fit in as well as any I've ever seen......he bonded immediately with our other dog (70 lb poodle, male)......he has never seen a cat, so that's a little touchy still.......but he has been awesome with our infant twin grand daughters, a 76 year old mother in law, and everyone else that has come by. He jumped up on the couch (always allowed here), layed his head on my lap, and went out like a light....seems as happy with us as we are with him....all in all, a great first day.

Sounds like Benjamin is a good match. Make sure to provide escape routes for your cat until you know how he will react with them.
