Hi all.......my name is Jack from Maine. Been reading alot on this forum & it's great !! I have had shepherds for a long time.......not for the last 4 years since my old girl. But we are picking up a new 4 month old boy tomorrow. We know the breeder, and this pups parents are really awesome dogs.
Thanks for being here with so much info & help. I appreciate it very much. |

Well.......the breeder has been calling him Buddy. She has had Buddy & his sister in the house with the family. She decided to let him go to us, so I guess we'll keep the name. Really wanted a "gus", but don't want to confuse him

I guess we're going with Benjamin......he has fit in as well as any I've ever seen......he bonded immediately with our other dog (70 lb poodle, male)......he has never seen a cat, so that's a little touchy still.......but he has been awesome with our infant twin grand daughters, a 76 year old mother in law, and everyone else that has come by. He jumped up on the couch (always allowed here), layed his head on my lap, and went out like a light....seems as happy with us as we are with him....all in all, a great first day.
