Thank you for that info!! I have been throwing major parties every time he goes to the potty. I am sure my neighbors think I an nutso! ha ha. But, it makes him so happy and his entire butt just wags and wags! ha ha.

I will def. try using a treat and toy to see what he reacts to best. We have been working on sit, so I will let you guys know how it goes! I am so excited to get started on this!

My husband thought I was so mean for crate training. But I had to remind him that if we want him to house train easily, and if we want him to have a safe haven, it is what we have to do. His crate is in our room now, and he whined for a good 15 minutes, but then slept through the night! *until 4:30* which I thought was AMAZING for his first night.

Thank you!! It is so funny you posted this because Gator just ate his first treat after a potty break! ha ha. I think it has a lot to do with him still getting used to being here with us and away from his dog family.
