Hi from VA. New puppy, new to GSD breed

Hi!
I'm Tiffany and my fiancé and I have been looking for our "next step" in our relationship. We both have had labs but never a GSD but friends who have had them. Once we decided that's the breed we wanted then we were off to explore and that's when we came across a cute pup from a breeder that is about a week old. Once we seen him, we were in love.

So we don't have him yet but he will be ready just in time for Christmas ;-)

until then and there after cant wait to read/get any info in regards to the breed and pup so we can give it the best care/love possible.

Keep in mind we didn't go into this blind we made sure we did our research prior to checking out the pups. We also checked into the pups Pedigree and found champion blood line on the mothers side. Currently the pup (Max) looks like he may turn out to be sable. His dad is sable and his mother is tan with a black blanket.

He is just adorable, he looks like a little seal cub in your picture. I want a puppy for Christmas! (I got one last year for Christmas)
