He's very cute. I'm also in VA. If you are in this area, Scarlett would love to socialize with Max when he's ready. (She's mother hen with puppies. )

Why did the breeder release the pup at 6 weeks? 8 weeks is usually standard and in many places it is illegal to sell pups prior to 8 weeks. Your pup has missed out on some valuable socialization time that would have taken place with its littermates including bite inhibition. Please read through the many threads on bite inhibition since you will now have to step into this role to teach him this important skill. Good Luck with him, he is definitely a cutie!
