Beautiful pup ... I'm sorry for your loss of your other dog, I lost mine last year, it's very hard!

You will have many many years of fun with this rambunctious looking pup!

I'm new here, but not new to GSD's. Isn't a GSP a German short haired pointer, or do I have more to learn?

Default New member just purchased working line German Shepard puppy

He's being a butthead because it was spelled Shepard instead of shepherd.

I'm being the butthead? Nope, just pointing out the German Shepherds in this country are properly referred to as GSD, German Shepherd Dog. Literal translation from the German Deutscher Schäfer Hund.

All the reading I have come across GSP is short for German Shorthaired Pointer.

If I came across as an ass, that was not my intent, but I will apologize if I had offended anyone. Had not even the misspelling in "Shepard".

I'm pretty sure that Doggiedad, with 12,000 posts and over 5 years on the forum, knows it is GSD.

It was just a warped attempt at humor I think....CT-Mike, you did nothing wrong.

Cute puppy - welcome to the forum.
