JEEZ, first of all it took me FOREVER to figure out how to post- need coffee.
At any rate, Has anyone ever used this supplement from Germany (Olewo)with their GSDs? I'm on my second box, it's not expensive, and seems to have helped his (beautiful, full & shiny) coat, itching and his sensitive stomach issues are LONG gone. In all my years of vet tech'ing, I never came across this product untill a few months ago. I feed grain free/raw diet, w/ Olewo in his kibble once daily. My guy is an 8month old long coat GSD, my first long coat in my 43yrs of having GSDs/X's. Thanks, and lets hope I learn to navigate this site.

I have not, but was wondering where you purchased it.
Beautiful dog by the way! And welcome to the forum. I was confused at first as well, but you learn how to get around.

Thank you, your's are beautiful too.
I initially got from his trainer when he started tracking a few months ago. Now I get it from Amazon.com but my local feed store is going to try and carry it. It seems to be a great product, his stomach was never 'right' until we started. |

I love Olewo. I use carrots and beets. I also like the PineFauna products for grooming. Excellent products, fantastic service and the US distributor is awesome to deal with. I love the products. Good stools, great coat, vibrant color, luxurious coat etc. Good stuff

The product is better absorbed if soaked in water and a bit of oil is added.
I have been asked why not just feed carrots from the grocery store. Anyone who has been to Europe can attest that the produce is different there. Here, even organic carrots will last in the fridge almost indefinitely. There, in a couple of days, they go bad. Not to mention that the flavor is entirely different. |

You must soak Olewo in water for 15mins or so till it is soft and rehydrated. It helps to add oil if your kibble or diet does not contain enough oils. If you feed it dry, it is likely to cause GI discomfort and issues.
