Just moved to Firestone, CO and slowly looking at getting a GSD baby. Trying to look for breeders that are reasonably close and reputable with quality dogs. Not new to the breed but excited to add to my family! My husband is excited to do training in tracking and maybe schutzhund. I am having a great time reading through all the information here.

Welcome aboard. I am now in Virginia, so I can't help with breeders in CO. We have several members who live there currently and they will probably be able to help you out. Just wanted to say Welcome and tell you how jealous I am that you are in CO...

Hi and Welcome!
I live in Boulder, not far from you. There are a lot of good breeders in the area, it just depends on what type of GSD you are looking for. We got our pup from Rocky Mountain German Shepherds in Conifer. They primarily deal in showlines, but I did notice that recently they have acquired some working line GSD's. I think your best bet would be to visit a few clubs and ask what breeders they might recommend. There are two clubs that I know of that you could check out, Two Bears in Erie? and Black Diamond. Just do a lot of homework and visit a couple of breeders to actually see the dogs on premises and go from there. Good luck in your search and make sure to post pictures when you get your pup!
