Hi everyone. Was looking up minor problem with my little girl and found this site. Could have knocked me over with a sock. Had a quick look and liked what I saw so joined
Bit about me, I live in South Australia on a small property of 80 acres. I use to re educate horses but the ground is getting too hard and the young ones getting too smart. So I finally got something Ive wanted for ages but never had the time. Xena, my little German Shep. She is 4 months old and is quite the talker when ever she sees me comes out. She annoys the you know what out of my old dog Charlie, 10 year old border x kelpie. So look forward to learn a lot and read more about you and your dogs. Cheers Paul

Thanks for the compliments Stosh. Never done any sheep work with Charlie (BC/Kelpie) You would get the mob together and Charlie would then bound through spreading them out. She never did quite get the concept. Xena just walks around with me when we are with the stock. Seems to have a talent for tracking so that may be the course we go.

You are in the good country!! Isn't that where they filmed McLeod's Daughters??
Luther is "just a pet" however he does earn his keep by helping us with our sheep. We have a grain and sheep property here in the Wimmera....we have about 3,500 sheep on at present and he helps our kelpie keep them in line. Our neighbours are still in disbelief that my hubby allows his silly wife to use a GSD out in the paddock but they are getting used to it. We actually did some work the other day and the sheep were being particularly stubborn and would not go through the gate into our yards so I let Luther off the back of the ute and he had them in very quickly......He is kinda large so they don't seem to argue with him too much....our neighbour was impressed!!! ![]() What about you.....are you looking at doing something with your girl......she looks very sweet!!!
