I've already picked out my dog from the breeder and he's an absolute perfect little puppy. He gets to come home with me November 3rd so I'm trying to research every available way I can. I've been reading books and the FAQ section here. This isn't my first GSD but the first I've raised by myself without my parents so I'm a little nervous but excited too.
We've already enrolled in puppy classes starting in Dec. This is Olivera or Ollie for short. ![]()

Hello and Congratulations, Ollie is just the cutest little guy. Please share lots of pics when you get that new baby home.

Gorgeous pup. I have a 14 month old and have learned a ton. My biggest lesson is everything the puppy does "wrong" is all your own fault. Set up the puppy for sucsess its better for you and the pup. Use a gentle leader if you can. While the pup is young learn off leash training and engagement when the pup wants to follow and be with you. Dont push the puppy into enviroments its not ready for. Be careful around other dogs as it can be a bad experience for the pup with the wrong dog. 1 bad experience then immediately have 5 positive like experiences to erase the bad one. Michael Ellis is an excellent person to look to for help. Ian Dunnbar is great as well. Also look up the Calcium and potassium for small pups. you dont want them to grow too fast. Change the food at 13 months of age as it will require more.Good luck.
