Hello from East Los Angeles!!!

Let me start off by saying I am completely new to owning a GSD and to forums like this one. Just yesterday I adopted a 3yr old male (appox.) from a shelter in Downey, CA. I have (as far as I can remember) been very fond and admiring of this breed so I made the decision to adopt first, before purchasing one from a breeder.

Hello and welcome! I am in California as well. Thanks for rescuing. There are lots of knowledgeable people and information on this site.

Idk if this makes any difference, but he was from a regular shelter. Not a specific breed shelter. But thank you none the less for thanking me. The way I see it, it's better to save an already existing dog, than to make new ones.
