Default Hello from DE

Hi everyone,

Im new to the forum and reside in Newark, De. I have a 3.5 yr old GSD named Abbi who I will have had for a year on Nov 1. I got her from a friend who was going through a divorce and she has been probably one of the greatest things to ever happen to me. A little about me, Im 22 and a corrections officer for the Delaware Dept. of Correction. Look forward to meeting all of you and learning more about the breed.

Kerrin: Its nice to meet you as well. Its tough to find Delaware people anywhere online haha

Stosh: Her floppy ears are by far my favorite thing about her appearence. Especially when you sneak up on her and make a noise the left one perks right up

Ive noticed! All the books and things Ive read have all been about "if the ears flop the puppy should be disqualified from your consideration" but the ears dont make them any less of a dog. A number of my friends are k9 officers for various police departments and one officer I met had a partner with floppy ears who sniffed for bombs on Delaware River bridges and ports which shows that ears have nothing to do with the dogs capabilities. Sorry for the rant haha
