Smile Hello from Ontario, Canada

Hi Everyone,

I am from Brampton, ON in Canada. I am on this forum as I have been using this forum for information a lot recently.

My family had a German Shepherd female who died due to a problem with her bone marrow. I thought getting her from a good line would eliminate such issues but obviously it did not. All we got with her was two Christmases. ((( Our kids and obvisouly we were devastated.

She was our first GSD. This time around want to be a little more careful with the breeder.

I am glad to be here and hope that it will be a good ride from here on....

Thanks!!!! in advance for all the advice I will get from this forum.

hello and welcome.
sorry about your loss .
you said "My family had a German Shepherd female who died due to a problem with her bone marrow. I thought getting her from a good line would eliminate such issues but obviously it did not. All we got with her was two Christmases"
how unfortunate . However this does not mean that your breeder did any thing wrong or through negligence or unwise choice of breeding partners.
Did you contact them to let them know?

The more I read , and I read a lot and ask a lot of questions of people involved with research , the more I know that cancer is on the rise , and that other things need to be examined, epigenetics , or the influence of outside sources affecting gene response - chemicals, vaccinations, pesticides, feed , gmo in feed, hormones , UVA UVB alterations and exposures, ground water contaminations, hormone and drug residuals in water , chlorine, flouride (multi generation exposure) -- so so so much.

heavy I know , just don't want you to be too hard on whoever you got the dog from .

Thanks Carmen!
I understand that somethings are out of control. My issue with it was the fact that when I called to inform him, there was no empathy. I did connect with him later and suggested that it is important to do this business with a heart.

I have not been in touch since then. I think sometimes it is not what you say but 'how' you say it...
