Hey everyone! I came across this site a few months ago when my little guy got hurt. I signed up but then life got too busy and i haven't had a chance to post until now!

Looking forward to discussing only the most amazing dog breed in the world with others who feel the same way! <3

Welcome, I just saw your post and your Vegas is a very handsome boy. Is he ok now, you mentioned that he had gotten hurt? Thanks for sharing a pic of Vegas with us, again he is very handsome.

He is getting better! He is so accident prone though - we should have named him Klutz!
He hurt his back in November getting out of my vehicle after his first (and only) puppy socialization class. He has been fine since then but has had a pretty crazy past 2 weeks (incident while getting nails trimmed, my niece falling on him and him playing with 2 dogs twice his size - his ego was put in check -haha) and he has actually re-injured his back. Vet took x-rays on Monday and said his lower back muscles are looking quite tight so he is on strict kennel rest and some meds. Today is the last day for his pain meds and his muscle relaxants and then we will continue on the Metacam for another 10 or so days. Vet said if he isn't better by about V-Day then she wants him back in to look at him further.
He's been stuck in his kennel since Saturday and he is starting to get very upset with me and my boyfriend. He just has so much attitude, it cracks me up. He does not like being confined to his kennel AT ALL but we are being very strict this time with the rest so he can heal up this time and not have to worry about having any further issues!
We feel so bad for him so when we are home we break the kennel down and just leave the door and top off so he can see us and watch TV with us and feel like part of the family again. Then when we go over there to play with him he tries to weasel his way out of the kennel anyway he can, silly boy!
He has been with us since October and I still am floored by how amazing and smart he is! I have grown up with dogs in my house pretty much my whole life and as great as those dogs were they honestly do not compare to my Vegas!! I am so looking forward to watching him grow and teaching him to be a very well behaved doggie!

Thanks!! We named him Vegas because that was the first place my boyfriend and I went on vacation together and he is our first dog together!
I hope he can play soon too! I miss taking him for walks and him running around in the backyard! He is definitely getting back to himself more and more by the hour i swear!
