Hello from Indiana
Hello everyone, I have joined to learn everything I can about GSD's. I have a Shepard/Begal mix, Named Charlie. My husband has had two GSD over his lifetime. One that he had to leave behind when he moved here from Surrey England, and a 2 yr old that passed away 2 yrs ago. Well long story short he would like to get a purebred again. We would love to have a playmate for Charlie too. So any advice you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome! Would love to see a pic of your Charlie. A rescue could find a good match for Charlie and your family...look on Petfinder in your area? Otherwise maybe go to GSD events or clubs to see what you'd like as far as lines for your next companion.

hey! i am new here
 i am a dog person (obviously) and GSDs are my fav we had one when i was a kid (we lived in a house) now i live in this apartment and wondering if getting a dog is a good idea..

Where in Indiana do you live? Some good breeders in Midwest and good clubs so you can check out to see what you like. Pet finder is always good and The Indianapolis Humane Society had some adorable GSD mix puppies in, but I think they are all gone in two days...you could check tho!

There's tons of information in the Intro and FAQ section you may want to look at. You also may want to go up to the narrow black strip along the top of the forum, Click on User CP and put your GENERAL location so people may be able to give more specific help as time goes on.
